New way to remove gorilla glue
Terry and I learned yet another use for cornmeal today that went beyond my natural beauty routine.
In an effort to fix some chairs that we needed to be more stable, we dipped the ends in water and then Terry added some gorilla glue to the legs. The glue becomes activated by the water, starts to swell and goes from a clear liquid to an opaque tan.
Once we had the chair tied off, Terry noticed some extra glue dripping down the legs and he used his hands to remove it. He tried to wipe the glue off but his hands started sticking together. He had me read the back of the bottle which just says to use soap and water for removal. So, he washed his hands again and then his fingers started sticking together.
He told me to go grab the cornmeal, which I did. He then kept his hand under the water while I poured soap and some cornmeal into them. First time with the cornmeal he managed to get the majority of the glue off his palms. Second run with the cornmeal and he managed to get the majority of the glue off with the exception of some parts of his finger tips.
So, if you ever stick yourself to yourself using gorilla glue add some cornmeal to normal soap and water routine and you will have a much better chance of getting it off.
