The reality of commerical beauty
I think everyone is beautiful but I also feel that in our society there are too many young women trying to love up to a standard of beauty that just isn’t real. I know that for me growing up, like many young still do today, I would page through fashion, media and mens magazines I feel horrible when I looked in the mirror believing that I would never be beautiful because I didn’t look like the women in movies or the magazines. As an adult I understand now that the images of women that we see are not how women actually are.
So, within keeping on that line of thought I came across the above video on youtube and thought that I would share it with you to help those young women who may read this blog to understand that they are beautiful just the way they are.
In America, young girls and women worry about obtaining a state of unattainable beauty but as you can see from above even those women we look up to and try to mirror in their beauty are not as how we see them in the popular media. They are normal women just like the rest of us but they have the added benefit of being made overtly attractive with the help of makeup artists and computer graphics programs.
